Over the course of Detours and Destinations, young people from Lomandra School developed raps and videos. This film-clip is one of the many results from their combined creative effort.

Forty-five students from Fairfield IEC went to the Opera House today to see Detours and Destinations. It was fantastic to see the surprise and pride of those students involved when they saw their creative work projected on the big screen as well as their stories, paper cars and illustrations displayed in the foyer.


This is an animation that combines material generated by young people from Fairfield IEC, Lomandra School and Miimali.
The video is currently being exhibited in the foyer at the Sydney Opera House as part of Detours and Destinations.
Yesterday at the Sydney Opera House - Detours and Destinations was officially launched! Hoorah!
There were speeches made by Graeme West (Minister for Juvenile Justice), Richard Evans (CEO of the Sydney Opera House) and our very own TJ Eckleberg (Artistic Director of Shopfront). There was also a neat documentary made by the Opera House, raps sung by the participants and loads of people playing with the digital mash-up created by the young people involved.

Yesterday, Young people from Lomandra did a last minute photo shoot with the Stikfas figures exploring common journeys they take everyday. The photos are currently curated on digital photo frames in the Foyer at the Opera House.
